Ethically Sourced Shells & Materials
All materials are of the finest quality- Sterling silver and 14K gold filled, fire polished cut glass crystal beads, salt and fresh water pearls, and a hand picked shell from the beaches of St Augustine and other traveled locations. I pick the shells not for their perfection but for their story. Interesting shapes or colors appear with age and season- every shell truly different and truly unique with its own life story. I try to celebrate that individual story looking at each piece singlely. I don’t make masses of pieces, with me it’s one then done, no matter how long it takes. I want to give respect to a life well and beautifully lived and that comes with an open mind and heart, really listening to what the shell wants and how best to express its internal and intrinsic glory.

The earth water and sky have always been my muse. I’m compelled by the beauty in weatherworn perfection and how we perceive perfection as a society versus what nature has to say about it. As I look at the gentle laugh lines on my loved one’s faces or the scars that tell stories of our past, I realize it’s those things I value most. They tell us and others who we are and where we’ve been. Appreciating and sharing those stories are our strength and beauty. Beauty for me has very little to do with flawlessness and more to do with responding to ourselves with love.
We perfect our life experiences when we embrace them, learn from them, and share them, eventually becoming friends with them. Everything in our life can be a gift for someone else and it is those very moments that I represent in my sea shell collection. My hope is that you can celebrate your story or someone else’s beautifully imperfect story through the sharing and wearing of these pieces. They were made with respect and love and an adventurous spirit indomitable for creative sharing. Feel loved and give love, as in the end that is the beauty in life we share.
In House Artist
I’ve spent a lifetime obsessed with creativity and learning. I grew up in creative atmosphere with a father as a glassblower and a mother whose passion was interior design. I am and ever will be a creative soul. I have been doing art as long as I can remember and it has always been at the forefront of how I perceive the world. My life’s journey has also made me a mother of three. I transferred the importance of having an open mind, justice, and equitable life beliefs. Years of love and learning followed my journey- filled with field trip Fridays, appreciation of nature, pioneer skills, emotional and social discussions, and peppered with every craft imaginable. So when did my journey begin with art? From the moment I opened my eyes I have seen the world in a unique way and have tried to share that beautiful vision with anyone who would listen. My life is art as I see it. I challenge myself to live up to that daily. I began creating Jewelry and art pieces for others regularly in 2000. My career as an artist has ebbed and flowed over the years since. A number of years ago I was fortunate enough to purchase a home in St Augustine Florida and create an art space. This has given me room to grow as well as spread my roots. I’ve found inspiration in the natural surroundings.
